Dongsheng Fusion – more formally Sunup Fusion (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd. or 东昇聚变（上海）技术有限公司 in Chinese, often shortened to 东昇聚变 – is a fusion start-up based in Shanghai, China, and also known as SUNUP Fusion.

Dongsheng Fusion grew out of Fudan University’s magnetic-confinement fusion research group. It was co-incubated by Fudan University, the Shanghai Future Industry Fund, Haitong International Innovation Centre, CASSTAR (中科创星), and Qiying Tongchuang (启盈同创).

Dongsheng Fusion describes itself as the only enterprise pursuing a tokamak fusion approach using deuterium–helium-3 (DHe3) as fuel. The company aims to use a high-field compact tokamak-style device with high-temperature-superconducting magnets and AI-assisted plasma control. Its first scientific device, 晨光, known in English as HOPE, is now under construction.
