Co-founder & Chief Science Advisor

Dr. Melanie Windridge is a specialist in fusion energy who helps people understand the value, opportunities and excitement of fusion. She is founder and CEO of Fusion Energy Insights.

Melanie has a PhD in plasma physics from Imperial College London, where she remains an Academic Visitor. She sits on the advisory boards of the UK Fusion Cluster and Energy for the Common Good, and is a Fellow of the Clean Growth Leadership Network.  She was previously UK Director of the FIA.  

Melanie is the author of Aurora: In Search of the Northern Lights, and Star Chambers: The Race for Fusion Power.

Co-founder & CEO

Stuart Allen has 30 years’ experience in B2B investment and finance information businesses including for infrastructure and renewable energy.

Prior to co-founding FusionX, Stuart was the M.D. of the Real Assets Finance Group for Euromoney Institutional Investor tracking funds, investors, assets and transactions.

Stuart has also worked as CEO of LatinFinance and served as a Director of non-profit World Education & Development Fund.

He was a Knowles Memorial Scholar and received a first class BSc (Econ) from the London School of Economics. 

Co-founder & Head of Americas

Matthew Perks is an entrepreneur & CEO of New Energy Events, LLC.

New Energy Events specializes in catalyzing investment in clean energy initiatives across South America, Central America and the Caribbean.

Matt brings extensive event management and publishing experience with a focus on finance, investment and emerging markets, including a prior role as a Director in the Latin American division of Euromoney Institutional Investor.

Matthew holds a degree from the London School of Economics. He is a driving force in the clean energy industry.

COO

Nick Davies has more than 15 years in the B2B information businesses. He has built a track record in scaling businesses, delivering strategic rebrands, and developing content and SaaS-driven platforms for the global energy and infrastructure markets.

Prior to joining FusionX, Nick was  the Managing Director of inspiratia, leading strategic growth and innovation in data-led products and financial market intelligence.

Operations Director

Amelia Moore is a dynamic operations lead with extensive experience in both event and flight operations.

Amelia is skilled in logistics, planning, and coordination. Her professional background includes membership and event operations at TechUnited (formerly the New Jersey Technology Council) and flight service operations at American Airlines.

Program & Partnerships Manager

Tara Egan is an experienced program and partnerships manager. She excels in managing programmers and in fostering strong client and partner relationships.

In addition to her event coordination skills, Tara writes a bi-weekly newsletter focused on the Latin American and Caribbean renewable energy markets.

Tara holds a degree in Public Relations.

Content & Data Analyst

Elsie Todd is a Philosophy graduate from King’s College London with a strong interest in current affairs and sustainability. Passionate about ethics, Elsie focused her thesis on “AI and the Moral Responsibility Gap,” exploring the challenges of technology and moral accountability. She is excited to apply her diverse background and analytical skills to fusion, contributing to the delivery of sustainable solutions for a better tomorrow.
