Eni invests $50m in Commonwealth Fusion Systems

Eni has invested $50 million in Commonwealth Fusion Systems, gaining a significant equity stake and a seat on the Board of Directors. The investment aims to support CFS in developing the first commercial fusion power plant. Eni's CEO, Claudio Descalzi, emphasized the move as a significant step towards developing alternative energy sources with minimal environmental impact.
