Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS) has been chosen by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for its $46m commercial fusion energy development program. This program, established by Congress, aims to bring commercial fusion energy to market. CFS will receive reimbursement funding upon achieving specific milestones over an 18-month period for their fusion device, SPARC.
