UKAEA awards £11.6m to develop fusion energy technologies

The UKAEA has awarded £11.6m in contracts to nine organizations, including start-ups, SMEs, established companies, and academia, to develop innovative fusion energy technologies. The contracts, ranging from £500,000 to £1.4m, will focus on fusion materials, manufacturing, heating, and cooling systems. The chosen organizations will advance their concepts to the 'proof of concept' stage.
