U.S. Department of Energy to invest $29m in fusion research

The US Department of Energy (DoE) has allocated $29 million for seven fusion energy research projects that will harness artificial intelligence. The projects will unite fusion and plasma experts to utilize advanced autonomous technologies, such as machine learning and AI, for various scientific advancements. Additionally, the grants include developing data management systems for public access to research findings.
