Helical Fusion Co., Ltd. has been chosen by the Japanese Ministry of Education for a $43 million Small Business Innovation Research program. The company will receive a $13.5 million grant to advance its High-Temperature Superconducting cable technology, including the innovative WISE conductor, developed in collaboration with the National Institute for Fusion Science. This grant is expected to accelerate commercialization and raise the technology readiness level.
