In 2022, Lowercarbon Capital raised a $250m fund called Q>1 to back the world’s leading fusion companies. By the start of this year, Lowercarbon had invested in 6 fusion companies, backing a broad spread of approaches with distinct technical pathways, uncorrelated physics and engineering risks, varying timelines, and diverse capital needs.
