ASPL Fusion – legally registered as Agnira Sanlayan Pvt Ltd and based in New Delhi and Pune India – is seeking to commercialize nuclear fusion technology ultimately for utility-scale power generation. The company was co-founded by nuclear fusion scientist Professor Prabhat Ranjan, and entrepreneurs Abhay K. Jha and Abhinav Jha. ASPL Fusion is the successor to “Project Sanlayan,” a previous fusion initiative by Professor Ranjan that was halted in 2022 due to a lack of funding. 

ASPL Fusion‘s aim is to build India’s first 400MW commercial pure-fusion power plant, demonstrating utility-scale viability, by the late 2030s and to deploy a fleet of fusion power plants thereafter.
